OVERALL
I spent the week focusing on recovery by doing A LOT of foam rolling and restorative yoga.
I also tested out some KT tape this week for the first time to see if it would alleviate any of the arch pain I’ve been having. Jury’s still out, but I’ll probably wear it during the marathon anyways, can’t hurt!
NEXT WEEK (10/21-10/27)
MARATHON WEEK!
Relax. Recover. Roll. Hydrate.
I also need to work on my race day outfit, I am seriously stressing about it!
Most recent weather is:
For some reason I am really struggling with this…it’s sort of right in between where I would wear a tank vs. long sleeves- I’m thinking tank with arm sleeves??! HELP!
I leave for DC Friday morning. I plan on hitting the Health and Fitness Expo Friday afternoon, Saturday morning I’ll be going to the MCM Runners bRUNch and of course Sunday is race day! I’ll be sharing lots of pictures on Twitter & Instagram so be sure to follow along @dnardi710!
Madison Photo of the Week!
Getting buckled up for a trip to Massachusetts!
LOVE KT Tape. Here’s a tip: be sure you don’t have any lotion on and the skin where you’re taping is super clean. And use the tape backing to run the tape down lots where you want it to stick. I’ve learned the hard way that when I’m lazy about my application, suddenly the tape is peeling around mile 7. But when I take the time to do it right, it’ll stay on 26 miles and then some.
Awesome, thanks! I can’t be sure if it did much, but I figure it can’t hurt! I may try and see if I can get taped at the expo this weekend.
I alwyas get taped at the expo if that’s an option. They always do a better job than I do!
