  1. Hi Danielle 🙂

My name is Valeria and like you, I am a yogi and a runner. I’m planning a short trip the weekend of Sept. 20-22 and I’m considering Cape Cod. Can you recommend a good place to stay for a a night or two, near a good place to do yoga, either on the beach or at a yoga studio? Thank you much!

    Valeria

    • Hi Valeria!

I’m so glad to hear you’re considering Cape Cod for a possible vacation!

Because I have a place up there I’ve never stayed in a hotel or inn, but I hear the Sea Crest Beach Hotel in Falmouth is nice. I typically do yoga on the beach in New Seabury (about 15 min from Falmouth), you can check out their site at http://yogaonbeach.com or I’ve taken a paddleboard yoga class with Melissa who also teaches at a studio in Falmouth (http://yogagirlcapecod.com).

The paddleboard yoga is great if you are looking to try something a little different!

Please let me know if you have any other questions I can help with!

    • Hi there and welcome! Glad you found the post over on Carlee’s blog helpful, feel free to let me know if you have any other questions about training for and running back to back races, I’d be happy to help! : )

  2. Danielle,

How much snow is still on the ground in Maushop – we are planning on coming out later in February for a long weekend – hoping some of it has melted before then. Back here in Westchester County, NY we have about 17 inches on the ground.
Can you post a photo of what’s currently on the ground there? Enjoying your blog.
    Thanks.

    • Hi Donna! Maushop is still a little messy from all the snow, the streets are icy & slushy in some places. I’d be happy to take some pictures when I am back up there, but I’m actually in New York myself right now! I’ll be back on the Cape Sunday night. Do you have an e-mail address I could send a picture to you at?

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the blog!
      Danielle

  3. Just found your blog in doing research for my first half at disney. I’m doing the wine and dine and your blog is so fun and informative.
Reading on, you live in the cape! Our friend moved there last year and we’ve visited him and love it. He keeps trying to get us to move. He’s in sandwich.
    I’m in NY.
I hope I don’t sound creepy but maybe I’ll meet you someday.
Anyway thank you for giving me hope if actually doing this thing.

    • Hi VIvian and welcome! You are going to LOVE the Wine & Dine half marathon, it’s such a fun race and it was my first half marathon too so I can totally understand your excitement/ nervousness! I remember looking for information when I was getting ready to run it and had trouble finding any which is one of the reasons I started blogging so I’m glad to hear it’s helping!

I really do love living on the Cape, it’s such a wonderful place and has such a great running community! Where in New York are you? Please feel free to e-mail or comment if you have any questions on your training or the Wine & Dine half along the way! Good Luck!
