I have to admit, I am pretty much mortified by this training (or lack thereof) recap of the past two weeks!
I think it’s safe to say I bit off a little more than I could chew this summer between work, school, teaching yoga and running and last week with finals something had to give so I could focus on studying and that something ended up being running.
I’m definitely nervous about this major bump in the road during marathon training, but I also really think my body needed the rest and hopefully that will translate into a stronger long run this weekend!

Overall
Trying not to reflect on the last two weeks too much, just oping to get back on track moving forward!
How do you know when your body needs a break?
In case you missed it I posted my recap of the Love Yoga Fest I attend a few weeks ago! You can check it out HERE!
Love your shirt 🎉🎉 I struggle with taking breaks too and tend to push myself
Thanks! The back of the shirt says “Exhale”, it’s one of my favorites! : )
I take breaks all the time. I’ve learned the hard way. I can either be mentally or physically tired, but I’m taking more breaks than I used to.
Yeah, I find that my body really benefits from just stepping back and taking a rest rather than pushing through sometimes.
I have been dealing with a really tired body at the moment too. I think jet lag from our Europe vacation is the culprit. My sleep is still off after 8 nights back home. Taking a few extra rest days has helped, and hopefully I will be ready for a race this weekend!
Yeah, travel can definitely throw you off! Rest up and good luck this weekend!
Good job! I take 1-2 days off every week, I just don’t do well when I workout every day!
