OVERALL

Well, considering that 10 miles on Saturday was supposed to be 16, I’d say overall not so great.

The 8 mile run on Saturday went great, I felt much better than I have running the past few weeks, but Sunday I fell apart right from the start.  My legs and knees just ached.  Bad.

When I stopped at the house to re-fuel I decided to call it quits.  I don’t necessarily believe in pushing through the pain if it’s not absolutely necessary (why risk pushing an ache or pain to an actual injury?!).  I had planned on an hour on the elliptical to make up for the 6 miles I didn’t do, but after 30 minutes my legs and knees ached so badly I had to go off and lie with my legs up and stretch.

My goal the next few weeks is to really make yoga a priority.  It’s unbelievable the difference I can feel in my running since I haven’t been practicing regularly!

It’s Cyber Monday!

  1. Ugh, I am having a hell of a time training for Goofy. I took a whole lot more time off after NYCM than I planned, and now I’m definitely paying the price. I’m just starting to get back into the swing of things, let me put it to you that way. Sounds like you’re doing just fine, and it’s awesome that you’re getting to teach on Cape Cod now! 🙂
