Happy Boston Marathon Day!
While I wasn’t actually able to take today off to go to the marathon, I did get to spend a few days up in Boston over the weekend and MAN does that whole city embrace their race!
I had such a great time seeing friends, going on runs along the river and taking in the infectious marathon spirit, but let me tell you, next year I’ll definitely make sure to take the race day off so I can experience spectating the Boston Marathon in person!

There were so many great running events going on around Boston this weekend! One that my friend Pat and I attended was this fun run hosted by Asics with Bart Yasso ad Deena Kastor! We went for a 3 mile run along the river, then headed back to the store for some snacks – we even got awesome swag bags!

So glad I got to see the We Run Disney ladies Pam and Christine for a little while – we definitely don’t get to see each other nearly enough!

Overall
What a great weekend! I forgot how much I really love Boston in general, and to be able to visit during the marathon weekend and see so many friends was such a treat! I can’t wait to plan a weekend to head back up there and I’m already looking forward to going up to watch the Boston Marathon next year even though it’s a full year away!
I love what a strong and supportive running community Boston has, it’s such an amazing city!
Boston Strong headband – check. Run Boston shirt on under dress shirt at work – check. Phone strategically set for live coverage at 9:30 – check. Am I just a bit Boston obsessed – you know it! 🙂
I forgot how much I loved Boston until I went up this past weekend, I can’t wait to get back up there!
I’ve got the live feed up, and the women’s race just started. I hope the weather doesn’t deter the crowds.
Yes, I’d be interested to know how much the crowds were affected by the weather – I’d go either way, it’s just a little rain! : )
Awesome!!!! I wish I could watch it, but am at work. I plan on sneaking a few updates tho!!!
Yeah, it was a little tough to watch while I was at work too, but I kept checking in!
I’m really hoping Phil finally gets into the race for 2016 so I can cheer him on!
Oh that would be awesome! I’m definitely going to take the day off next year!
I’m busy at work so I unfortunately can’t live stream the marathon, boo. Glad you had a great weekend–seems like lots of awesome events went down 🙂
There were so many running events going on all over the city, it was great!
What a perfect weekend. I would kill to spectate the marathon…I can’t even imagine how exciting it must be!
I watched! I got absolutely NOTHING done this morning. It has to be one of my least productive days of the year, haha.
Haha, yeah it was sort of hard to watch while I was at work, but I kept stealing glances at the TV any computer!
Woo Boston! So exciting even to watch it from afar.
The running community is amazing in the Vancouver area. I’ve met so many great people through different running groups who have taken me under their wing and helped to turn me into the runner I am today!
