First of all, congratulations to Emily from Travel with Emily who is the winner of the Cheribundi giveaway!
I actually ran into Emily in Disneyland right before the half marathon (we pretty much literally ran into each other coming in/ going out of the bathroom in the Disneyland Hotel lobby!) and we took a quick picture which I realized I never posted!

OVERALL
My priority this week was to get my 18 mile run in. I had been nervous about it since I’ve been tired from moving and starting my new job (which you can read more about HERE if you missed it!) and my 16 mile run 2 weeks ago didn’t go so great.
Fortunately some of my awesome new Cape Cod running friends offered to meet me for various parts of the run so I’d have company! I can’t tell you how much it helped to have the distraction of people to talk to almost the whole time – not to mention the scenery on our local bike path is just gorgeous!
You may also notice in my training recap that instead of “rest day” I’ve started using “none” as a description of my workouts. The more I thought about it the more I realized that “rest day” wasn’t exactly accurate…it wasn’t a planned day to rest/ recovery, I just wasn’t getting around to doing anything active/ workout wise!
I really need to work to change those “none” days and start doing some yoga or going for a short bike ride – I’m hoping that will come as Jason and I adjust to our new schedules!

Yay!! I’m super excited to try the Cheribundi challenge. The picture of us turned out super cute! Great job on the 18 miles – having friends along definitely helps with the distraction – and those views are amazing!!
Oooh – guess I should have said, let me know what I need to do (if anything) for the prize.
Yes, I meant to e-mail you yesterday and totally forgot!
If you could e-mail your mailing address to me at liverungrow@gmail.com I’ll coordinate with the Cheribundi people to get it out to you!
OK, let me get this straight. You ran 18 miles AND biked 10 miles…in the same day?!?! Are you training for an Iron Man now or something?!?! I know the scenery is gorgeous and all but daaaaaaayyyyyyuuuuuum.
Haha, don’t ask…the bike part was for something for work – I actually really don’t enjoy biking but I had to do at least part of the ride they were doing (the whole ride was 20 miles!).
Beast mode! I’d be dead after either the bike ride or the run. I’m impressed!
Haha, the bike part was actually something work related…trust me, I never would have decided to bike after an 18 mile run on my own!
