Mid-week I was feeling pretty unmotivated and a little down on running in general, but overall I had a good day of speed work and a good, albeit interesting, run at the Channukah Chalf today (post coming!)
NEXT WEEK (11/25-12/1)
I’ll be running the Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day, but other than that I’m looking forward to a bit of a rest/ recovery week in my Dopey training before the miles really pick up the next week.
Fun Photo of the Week!
Almost bought this sweater and really kinda regretting that I didn’t…
Have I mentioned I have a thing for gnomes??!
Ugly Christmas Sweaters…
Love ’em, or hate ’em?
What jacket are you wearing? 28 mph!!!! Ugh! That’s like running in place.
Yeah, it was basically like running in place just to avoid being blown backwards.
That jacket totally saved me! It’s an EMS brand fleece lined zip up hoody that my mom bought me for Christmas last year…it was AMAZING! So glad I had it!
Aw, man! I didn’t even realize you were there yesterday — I ran the Chanukah Chalf, too! Although, I guess “ran” probably isn’t the best word to describe what happened yesterday…by far my worst race ever. That was BRUTAL! Can’t wait to read your recap!
Aw man! How the heck do we keep missing each other at races! I’m writing my recap now, but that was the most ridiculous race/run EVER!
I know?! It was absolutely insane. I really, REALLY did not have a good time. Working on my recap, too! Sorry again I didn’t see you — makes sense that I didn’t recognize you, though, since everyone was a tad bundled up, haha.
You should have bought that sweater! I’m impressed that you raced again so soon after wine and dine….were you dressed in that ninja outfit for race day?
I’m writing my recap now, but you’ll see it was really meant to be a supported training run, not so much a race. And yes, I wore that jacket hood up zipped up all the way the entire race!
I need to hear more about this Chanukah Chalf and how I sign up for it next year because it sounds amazing. Except for the really cold weather, that sounds terrible.
Haha, I’m writing my recap right now! There was the Chanukkah Chalf, the Oy Vey 10k and the Chanukkah Gelt 5k – such a fun idea! Other than the cold I really liked it, I’ll do it again next year for sure : )
I have no idea how you crazy runners went and ran in that weather. I didn’t even leave my house. Kudos!!
We did the ugly sweater thing for MVMCP this year, I borrowed something from my mom. I don’t know if I could actually spend money on one though. . but that one is cute!
I saw that same gnome sweater today at a resale shop but it wasn’t for sale. I was really hoping to find it for sale somewhere. Can you tell me where you saw the sweater for sale? Thank you for any help you can provide!
Hi there! I saw it at Urban Outfitters, but that was last year, not sure if they have it again this year. Good luck finding it!
