Weekly Training Recap

RECAP (3/18-3/24)

Monday – 5 mile run

Tuesday – 90 minute yoga class

Wednesday – 60 minute yoga class

Thursday – I wouldn’t call this a “rest day” or “lazy”, but with studying, a test and another class and then having to go straight to work I just didn’t have time to get a workout in!

Friday – rest day

SaturdayNew York 13.1

A full recap will be up tomorrow, but I smashed my half marathon PR by 6 minutes and 21 seconds AND finished in under 2 hours!

Sunday – Rest/ Recovery: 90 minute yoga class, stretching, foam rolling

Yoga – 4 hours

Weekly Mileage –  18.1 miles 

Monthly Mileage –  59.6 miles

2013 Mileage – 178.6 miles

Overall – all I have to say is: HOLY HALF MARATHON PR…CRAZY!

NEXT WEEK (3/25-3/31)

Running – start the week with some short recovery runs and then back to speed work!

Yoga – 3 classes

Bootcamp – I don’t have school this week so I’d like to finally get back to a bootcamp class or two!

  1. Congrats on the PR. I was just thinking it’s time I get out of my comfort zone and push to get one. After that, I will probably be back to being an empathy runner (as my husband calls it). But I think I need one. Can’t wait to hear about the race.
