Every Sunday I’m planning to post a quick training recap from the previous week and goals for the upcoming week in an effort to keep me accountable for my training!
RECAP (11/13-20)
Monday – Rest Day (I did an 18 mile training run Saturday and usually take 2 days off)
Tuesday – Extra Rest Day (oops!)
Wednesday – 3.25 mile run
Thursday – Off
Friday – 3.5 mile run
Saturday – 5 mile run, 30 minutes on the elliptical
Sunday – 30 minutes on the elliptical
Overall – it was a bit of a lazy week for me, I’m hoping to get back on a better schedule again next week.
GOALS (11/20-27)
Monday – 3 miles
Tuesday – off
Wednesday – 3 miles
Thursday – 3 miles
Friday – 8 to 10 miles
Saturday – off
Sunday – yoga
Overall – since I don’t have another long run until next weekend I’d like to try to rotate in some yoga this week.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” – Walt Disney
It is so nice to hear that another woman has the same internal mental struggles with running and exercise as I do! Even an accomplished marathon runner! I always tell myself while I am running “See! This feels so good! Remember how good this feels next time you don’t want to get out of bed to run!” and then it never fails that the next time I am struggling to convince myself to get out of bed and run that the one powerful CON seems to outweigh all of the PROS. I agree with the lights idea totally! I also sometimes plug in my running mix to my speakers and crank it up for a dance party prior. (The man is less pleased with that method) Great Blog Danielle!
Exactly, once I’m actually outside I’m like, “that wasn’t a big deal!” but I seem to forget that feeling by the next morning!
We still need to go for a run in Central Park sometime!
