Wow, over a week since I’ve posted anything, I don’t think I’ve not posted in that long in quite awhile!
First of all, thank you for all the supportive and thoughtful comments on my last post regarding my new job, they are much appreciated! Two weeks in and I’m really enjoying it and feeling that it was a good move for me!
I did want to write a quick post though to let you know that I’ve been chosen to be a BibRave Pro Ambassador for 2015!
For those of you who are not familiar with BibRave, it’s a community where you can read and write race reviews – I encourage you to check it out and start an account if you don’t have one already (and then add me as a friend!).
One of the reasons I love BibRave is because I am a total planner and researcher – I hate going into something not knowing what to expect! When I was training to do my first race, the Wine & Dine Half Marathon, I feverishly searched the internet for information on running, racing, the specific race I was doing and what to expect before, during and after the race, and you know what, it was really hard to find a lot of useful information!
I found some race reviews on blogs (and it’s actually how I even got in to reading blogs and why I wanted to start one!), but the beauty of BibRave is that you can find multiple honest reviews on almost any race all in one place! I always read reviews when deciding on a new race, so BibRave has become my go-to before hitting the registration button!
I’m looking forward to working with this great site and the other ambassadors in 2015 and I hope you’ll stop by BibRave and set up an account so you can share your race experiences with us!
You can find & follow me on BibRave HERE!
Do you look for race reviews before choosing a race?
Are you on BibRave? Let me know so I can follow you!
P.S. – you can join us on Twitter for #BibChat on Tuesday night’s at 9pm Eastern time!
I’m a BibRave Pro for 2015 too, and am so excited!! I usually read so many reviews of races before I actually run them, so I really like the BibRave site for that reason!
Hi Caroline, thanks for stoppig by and “introducing” yourself! Looking forward to #BibRave in 2015!
Congratulations and welcome to the BibRave Pro gang! You may follow me already, but here’s my profile page if not: http://www.bibrave.com/users/125507 🙂
Thanks Heather!
Hooray! I’m also a BibRave Pro for 2015, and I found BibRave in a similar fashion. I’ve actually been reading your blog for a while but have been rather lax in commenting. So happy for your move to Cape Cod (I would give anything to move to the Outer Banks in NC – need to find a way to make that happen). Looking forward to a great year ahead!
Hi Jess, thanks for commenting, I’m glad to be part of the BibRave team with you for 2015! And moving to the Cape was such a hard decision, but so far it’s been one of the best things we’ve done, we’re much happier here! Good Luck getting to the Outer Banks one day! : )
Congrats on being a pro! I use Bib Rave mostly because not a lot of the races in my area are on there, and I’m trying to represent the Vermont area. Do you know if the applications are still open? I’d love to try to get more people in Vermont involved. Here’s my profile page: http://www.bibrave.com/users/125485
Thank you! I think the applications for 2015 may be closed already unfortunately, but make sure you’re following BibRace on Facebook & Twitter, that’s where I saw them post about the open applications!
Will do. Thanks!
I did not know this existed!! I like to plan and generally will google a race to see if I can find reviews – how fantastic to have them all in one place!!
It is great! Let me know when you create a profile so I can follow you!
