Weekly Training Recap

Wow, what a busy couple of weeks it’s been!  In case you missed it, I posted 2 race recaps this week…

TCS New York City Marathon

Wine & Dine Half Marathon

…each of these races was a battle of the elements!  In New York we dealt with some fierce winds and then in Florida the skies decided to open up and downpour pretty much JUST during the few hours that we were running!

Although my NYCM recap was quite long, it really was only a recap of the actual race, I plan on writing another post with some of my overall thoughts and tips for the New York City Marathon, so if you have any questions you’d like me to address, please leave a comment and let me know!

  1. Please check out the Frontrunner Jacket from Athleta. It is amazing and I wore it not once, but twice during races yesterday,. First for my 8k and then with Christine during part of the marathon. I also have Meb’s book on my list, Spirit of the Marathon 2 DVD, and the Thorlos gift pack of socks would be nice!

    • I love Athleta (and I miss having one right in my town since I moved!), I’ll have to check that jacket out!

And Meb’s book is great! I was fortunate to be able to buy a copy when I met him at the Falmouth Road Race and have him autograph it!

  2. Hey Dani…. sorry to hear you were sick. Hope by the time you read this you are feeling better. Don’t forget to take you zinc (E-Z)… it really works.
