I can’t believe the Dopey Challenge is over already, I feel like it went by so quickly! I’ve loved writing and sharing my race recaps so far and I love reading about everyone else’s experiences at the races!
If you’ve missed any of them, the links to my 5k, 10k and half marathon recaps are included below and I’ll be posting my recap of the full marathon tomorrow. Later this week I’ll also be writing a separate post on my pros and cons of the Dopey Challenge and my thoughts on whether I’d do it again or not…

THIS WEEK (1/13-1/19)
NOTHING. Took this week as a full recovery week. I was exhausted after Dopey (thanks to 4 mornings of 3am wake up calls!) and felt run down and sick so I decided to just rest.
NEXT WEEK (1/20-1/26)
I’m going to take another week off from running (after back to back marathon training cycles I think I need it!), but I’m hoping to get back into going to yoga regularly this week (unfortunately it took a back seat to running the past few months!).
I’m also thinking about what some of my running goals for this year are going to be and looking for my next races! (and suggestions??!)
Al’s Dopey Medal Picture!
And don’t think he cheated…
…he really was in my pocket for all 4 races!
Looks amazing!
I’ve taken this week off too. I almost went to yoga today, but then I woke up late and took that as a sign to take it easy one more Sunday.
Ya, I guess you have earned a couple weeks off…
That is a pretty impressive completion of combined races! Awesome job. Good luck with recovering. It is always the most important key to training for your next race.
Congrats again to you and Al! You definitely earned the time off, enjoy!
I loved sitting on my ass and eating pizza this week. It was GLORIOUS!
I know, I can’t believe it’s over either. It felt like it’d never come all those months of training, then like a flash, it’s over!
I finally got my race photos, so I can finally do my recaps. All this week!
Yay! I was waiting for a picture of Al!
