Greetings from DC!
My mom and I arrived in Washington yesterday afternoon and after dropping our stuff of at our hotel we headed over to the Marine Corps Marathon Health & Fitness Expo. The expo is being held at the DC Armory so we hopped on the metro and were easily over there in about 15 minutes.
Helpful arrows led us from the metro right to the expo…
…where my first stop was packet pick up!
Packet pick up was super organized and had no line when I was there (although I heard at other times during the day the line was quite long!). I got my bib, MCM patch and event program and was on my way over to the expo!
I picked up my race shirt and gear check bag and spent an hour or so walking around checking out the vendors…
…the Brooks section had some pretty nice official race merchandise, but unfortunately the line to check out was about an hour long and there was definitely not anything I needed that badly!
One more stop for a fun picture…
…and we were off to get started with my favorite part of race weekend – carb loading!
