Weekly Training Recap

RECAP (4/29-5/5)

Monday – 5 mile run and 60 minute yoga class

Tuesday – 90 minute yoga class

Wednesday – 5 mile run and 30 minutes elliptical

Thursday – 90 minute yoga class

Friday – 3 mile run and 60 minutes yoga

Taught Candlelight Yoga at Om Sweet Om!

Yoga at the Studio

Saturday –  rest/ PT observation day (I’ll write more about my observation hours soon!)

Sunday – 5 mile run

Went to my best friend from high school’s baby shower!

I gave her a copy of The Velveteen Rabbit, because (as you can see from what I wrote in the book) her mom gave me a copy when we were in high school because she said we were such “real” friends!

Weekly Mileage –  18 miles 

2013 Mileage – 235 miles

NEXT WEEK (5/6-5/11)

Running – Need to get in a long run and begin to put together a training plan to follow for the next few months to get ready for Dumbo, Marine Corp and Dopey!

Yoga – 3 classes and prepare for the next class I’m teaching!

  1. Aw that is so sweet that you gave The Velveteen Rabbit to your friend’s baby. What a sweet tradition to pass on. Great week of workouts! I want to get into yoga so bad! My tight running hips are begging for it!

    • Thanks! I found the one her mom had gave me a few months ago when I was cleaning and I immediately knew it would be the perfect baby gift!

      If it’s hard to get to an actual yoga class there are some great online or even on demand options. You may have read it here before, but my favorite are Sage Rountree’s Yoga for Athlete’s on YogaVibes.com, there are even short 15-20 minute “classes” that are really easy to get started with.   2. Envying your training! Last week was a total bust for me. I spent a few days babysitting my niece and nephew. Meant to get in a few runs…didn’t happen. At least I took the kids for LOTS of walks and managed to try aqua jogging for the first time. Here’s to next week!
