Weekly Training Recap and Goals

RECAP (10/15-10/21)

Monday – rest day & foam rolling

Tuesday – 45 minutes elliptical

Wednesday – 3 mile run, 90 minute yoga class, 90 minute Yamuna class and 60 minute massage

Thursday – 90 minute yoga class

Friday – 4.5 mile run

Saturday – rest day and fun beach yoga photos on Cape Cod!

Sunday – 15 mile run and 1 mile cool down walk, foam rolling & stretching

Yoga – 4.5 hours

Weekly Mileage – 22.5 miles

Monthly Mileage – 72.5 miles

2012 Mileage – 487.5 miles

Overall – I’m still loving my Yoga Teacher Training and working to get in all my running for Goofy training!  I did 15 miles today and boy am I feeling it, I have A LOT of work to do!  And, for some unknown reason my knee is killing me…I’m icing it now, so hopefully it’s nothing to be worried about.  It was great to be able to spend the weekend on Cape Cod (and do my long run up there!), we’ve never gotten to go up in the fall because of work so we’re taking advantage of this time (Thank you NHL lockout!).

NEXT WEEK (10/22-10/28)

What’s there to say…more running, more yoga and hoping to get to the Yamuna class again!

P.S. Wine & Dine Half Marathon is less than 3 weeks away!  Can’t wait!

  1. My husband and I are running the Wine and Dine as well and can’t wait. I love reading all of your posts. I am hoping to do the Goofy in 2014, so I love to read about how your training is going.

    • Hi Jen! I’m glad you enjoy following my training, it’s nice to know that documenting my experience may help others with their own training!

      I can’t wait until Wine & Dine, I had a great time last year and I feel like I’m a bit more ready for a night race this year since I have 2 under my belt. If you happen to see me please feel free to say hello!
