I love checking out what other runners are wearing and hearing what gear and products people are loving, so I figured it would be fun to share what I’m running in right now! I did a similar post awhile back, but it’s interesting to see how things change (the only thing that made both posts are my socks!).
So, here’s what I’m wearing in the picture above at the Disneyland Half Marathon!
Top – My current favorite running top is the Under Armour Muscle Tank. This top is semi-fitted (I don’t like to run in anything too fitted), lightweight and super comfortable! I think I have it in 4 or 5 different colors.
Bottom – LOVING my newest find, Lululemon Reverse Groove Shorts in Tall. No, I’m not actually tall, but the regular length were pretty much booty shorts and totally rode up when running (not comfortable and definitely not a good look!). These are comfortable, don’t move at all when I’m running and my hydration belt definitely stays in place better than with my Nike Tempo shorts. (That being said I still love my Nike tempo’s for short runs when I’m not using a hydration belt.)
Socks – Feetures Ultra Light, I have to admit I don’t have too much to compare these to, they were the first pair I bought when I started running and I loved them so it’s what I’ve used since! Lightweight and a bit of arch support, perfect!
Sneakers – Saucony PowerGrid Triumph 9, I had been running in Mizuno’s until a few months ago, but these were recommended to me when I got fitted at a running store a few months ago. I was looking to transition to something more minimalist (these are 8mm heel toe drop, so a small start) and I always need something with a wide toe box – these fit the bill! I’ve liked them so far, but I’m concerned about whether they will have enough cushioning as I train for Goofy and my training runs get longer (I’ll let you know in a few weeks!).
Sports Bra – Moving Comfort Maia Bra, no need to go in to details here, but LOVE this sports bra! (and second to sneakers I consider a sports bra my most important piece of running gear!)
Tomorrow, my favorite non-clothing running gear!
