Monday – 3.5 mile run and 25 minutes on the elliptical
Tuesday – none
Wednesday – none
Thursday – 4 mile run
Friday – none
Saturday – 20 mile run
Sunday – Lots of stretching and foam rolling
Overall – It was another busy week at work so I didn’t get in as many short runs/ workouts as I would have liked. Then there was my second attempt at 20 miles. Yes, I know I said I was going to do 23, but that just didn’t happen, and to be honest it didn’t really go much better than my first 20 mile run. I’m going to write a separate post on this so check back if you want to hear more about my 20 mile meltdown…
NEXT WEEK (12/19-25)
Stretching – I think my 2nd attempt at 20 miles reinforced that I need to continue to focus on stretching my arches and that I need to figure out how the heck to stretch my piriformis muscles, I’ve been doing some research and found a few things I’m going to try this week. I’d like to try to spend a dedicated 20-30 minutes every day between now and the marathon stretching and foam rolling.
Holidays – I only have Saturday and Sunday off, but I’d really like to just relax and enjoy the holidays for those two days.
