Weekly Training Recap and Goals

RECAP (11/28-12/4)

Monday – Rest Day

Tuesday – 3 mile run

Wednesday – 45 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes of stretching

Thursday – 3 mile run

Friday – 30 minutes stretching & foam roller

Saturday – 20 mile run followed by an ice bath and A LOT of stretching!

Sunday – RECOVERY!  30 min walk, epsom salt bath, stretching, foam roller

Overall – I’m glad I got through my 20 mile training run, but I think it actually made me MORE nervous about having to do 26!

GOALS (12/5-12/11)

Recovery –  I’m really concerned about how much the arches of my feet hurt towards the end of my run so I want to make sure to focus on doing some plantar fasciitis stretches this week.

Hydration – Going to keep using the Drink-o-Matic app, it definitely helped me to drink more water this past week.

OTHER

My Disney Wine & Dine race poster I ordered came in!  Sorry, not the best picture, I just took it on my phone…

I really wanted a nice commemorative item from my first ever race and I thought this was perfect!  It even has my name and race time on it:

It’s from Lasting Commemoratives and they’re actually offering 25% off through 12/31 with the code Holiday25 if anyone’s interested!  They make commemorative items for most of the bigger races, or you can custom create something.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

    • One I got it comfortable on my wrist I liked it. I really just need to get used to it not feeding me the information through my headphones like RunKeeper does. There is no way my phone battery will last running the GPS for 26.2 miles though so I don’t have much of a choice!

I’ll give you a better update once I’ve used it a little more!
