Weekly Training Recap and Goals

From after Thanksgiving through the New Year I’ll be participating in the Holiday Bootie Buster Challenge hosted by Amanda at Run to the Finish.  The challenge is a friendly competition to stay fit and eat healthy during the holiday season while encouraging others to do the same.  Points are tallied at the end of the week for the chance to win great prizes!  So, with that said, here’s my weekly workout update!

RECAP (11/26-12/2)

Monday – 5 mile run

Tuesday – 60 minute yoga class

Wednesday – 3.5 mile run and 90 minute yoga class

Thursday – 90 minute yoga class and 3 mile run

Friday – 60 minute yoga class and 8.5 mile run

Saturday – no formal workout but I worked a 14 hour day on my feet – wish I had worn a pedometer, my feet were killing me!

It was also the first time I put on a suit and heels since I left my full time job in September…definitely DO NOT miss that!  I MUCH prefer my new wardrobe of yoga and running clothes!


Sunday – much needed rest day!

Spent some time tonight working on my Raceday Book!  Keep an eye out for a closer look and a special giveaway this week!  


Yoga – 5 hours

Weekly Mileage – 20 miles

HBBC Points – 42 points

Monthly Mileage – 102 miles (yeah!  Hit my monthly goal of 100 miles!)

2012 Mileage – 620 miles (looking good to hit my 2012 goal of 700 miles!)

Overall – Good and bad this week.  I got in a lot of yoga and a decent amount of running, but I did have a 20 mile run on my schedule for this weekend that didn’t end up happening.  My original plan was for the 8 miles Friday and then 20 Saturday, but I ended up working a long day Saturday.  Since I was on my feet all day Saturday and was really hoping for the long runs to be back-to-back for Goofy training I figured it was best to move the 20 miler to next weekend.  It stills works within my training plan, so not really much of a setback, just a change of plans!

NEXT WEEK (12/3-12/9)

DEFINITELY need to get in the back-to-back 10 and 20 mile runs this weekend and I plan on spending a lot of time at the yoga studio, I only have 2 weeks of yoga teacher training left and we’re at the point of assisting in classes!  As far as blogging goes I’m planning on posting my 2nd Yoga for Runners pose (if you missed the first you can see it here) and I’ll also be posting the very first Live, Run, Grow giveaway, so stay tuned!

  1. I think I have that same running scrapbook! I love it! Haven’t put too many races in there yet but I’m sure as the holiday break comes I’ll have more time on my hands! looks great!

    • I’m doing a giveaway for one of the scrapbooks tomorrow and I’ll have lots of pictures of my completed book if you want to stop back and take a look! I love that I have a place to put all my race bibs and stuff : )
