So, I think life finally caught up with me this week.

I’ve been really overtired, I’ve had to work late a lot recently and I’ve been stressing about work stuff, holiday shopping (or my lack of holiday shopping) and my training for the January marathon…like I said it sort of caught up to me.

I started to get a headache on Thursday afternoon and my by time I got home from work around 11:30pm it was one of the worst migraines I’ve ever had.  I took my medication and got in bed, when I got up the next morning it really wasn’t any better, but I took another pill and went to work.  By the afternoon I was in such excruciating pain that I had my head down on my desk crying, my wonderful co-workers ordered a car service (because they didn’t want me taking the train) and sent me home – I got in bed by 5pm and slept right through until 9am this morning.

So, after a solid 15 hour sleep I feel MUCH better.  Not good, but better.  Right now I’m suffering from what I like to call a “migraine hangover” – basically after I get a bad migraine I feel like I got spun through a washing machine and spit back out the  next day and I pretty much look like I have two black eyes.

I’m spending my recovery day doing laundry, sitting on the couch watching cheesy Christmas Lifetime movies and attempting to do some online holiday shopping.  I’ll be back to post my (totally pathetic) weekly training recap tomorrow.

  2. Hey Dani…. Glad u are feeling better! You didn’t look so good when I saw you with headache. You looked better after the 20 mile run.
